Levi James Kunkel

As some of you may know, Levi is going to be having surgery on Thursday.  The surgeon is going to take some bone from his hip to connect his top gums and close the hole in his palate again.  He had a similar surgery when he was 9 months old.  He will need to be in the hospital for approximately 4 days to make sure he is healing well and the drainage from his hip subsides.  To say I'm nervous would be an understatement.  We've done this before, many times, but it doesn't make it any easier, especially since we live in a different country.  I know God is in control and I take comfort in that, I just need to remind myself of that often.  Levi is doing well although he is a little nervous.  We are so grateful for a family that has provided the needed funds for the surgery!  That was a huge answer to prayer!!!  It is hard in these moments to not be surrounded by our families but we are so grateful for friends who have offered to help with our other boys or with any other needs.  We will be headed to the hospital tomorrow to register, donate blood etc., and then the surgery is scheduled to take place at 7am on Thursday.  Levi will be in surgery for several hours.  We covet your prayers!
